Local Area

Kilchrenan is a small village, with a population of around 200, and the ideal base from which to explore Argyll and enjoy the outdoor life.

The Kilchrenan Inn is at the centre of the village and a popular destination for accommodation, good food and drink after a fun-filled day of cycling, kayaking or wild swimming, or perhaps following some more relaxing pursuits such as walking or bird-watching.

There are also two excellent hotels- the Ardanaiseig and Taychreggan- both within walking or cycling distance.

Loch Awe, the longest loch in Scotland, is the stunning backdrop to our village and the lochside is just a short walk from the village.

Following the B845 road down to Inverinan and Dalavich, you will be rewarded with excellent views of the Loch and many beautiful walks and opportunities for mountain biking. For the more adventurous, Ben Cruachan is our closest munro and a challenging but rewarding day's walk.

There are numerous holiday homes, cabins, glamping pods and B&Bs available in the area.
